Supporting you throughout your studies

We know that to be successful in your studies, you need a support network to help you focus on your work and enjoy student life. Our Student Services team will help you with everything from visas to your arrival in the UK.

Based in the Centre, our Student Services team are dedicated to supporting you through your studies and are always on hand to help.When you first arrive at the Centre, the team will help you settle in to life in Newcastle.

They will remain your first point of contact for non-academic issues ranging from registering with the doctor and opening a bank account, to renewing your visa.

No matter how large or small your problem may be, there is always someone available to help.

 

Visa workshops 

Once you arrive at the Centre, Student Services will provide information, support and guidance on renewing your student visa, as well as issue any documentation you may need to support your visa application. Visa workshops will be held throughout the year and individual appointments will be made available to you should you require specific advice.

Support for students with disabilities 

A confidential service for students is available offering advice and information on disabilities such as dyslexia, sensory impairments, and mobility and medical conditions. For further details please contact us.

Language advisors 

At the Centre, our language advisers speak a range of languages including Chinese and Arabic, and are available to assist new and prospective students and parents who may not be able to communicate effectively in English.

Welfare officer 

We have a dedicated welfare officer who will offer practical information, advice and guidance on any personal issues you may have during your studies.
