Student life isn't just about getting a degree

The Students' Union at Newcastle University offers hundreds of student activities, clubs and societies. As an INTO Newcastle University student you will be entitled to join them all.

The newly renovated Students' Union building is home to a range of student services run by students, for students. There you'll find the university's student clubs and societies, student welfare services, volunteering opportunities and student representation. The Union also runs a student newspaper, the Courier.

There are more than 180 student societies and sports clubs at the University, and as an INTO Newcastle University student you will be eligible to join them all.Societies cater to different hobbies, interests, nationalities and religions, and you will be sure to find something that suits you.

The International Students Society is one of our biggest societies and organises a range of social events and trips throughout the year.

Newcastle is considered one of the ten best universities for sport in the UK.The Athletic Union and the Centre for Physical Recreation and Sport provide excellent facilities, a wide range of classes for all levels, and 57 dedicated sports clubs. As an INTO Newcastle University student, you get free membership of the University Sports Centre and can join any of the university sports clubs.

Many sports are catered to including badminton, basketball, indoor football, netball, volleyball, sailing, ultimate Frisbee, squash, cricket, table tennis and sailing. You can also join the gym or a dance class.
