The Graduate Diploma in Finance is a full-time academic programme that prepares you for direct entry to selected Master’s courses at Queen’s University Belfast. This programme will give you the opportunity to improve your language skills in preparation for postgraduate study, increase your knowledge of academic theory and improve your understanding of key academic subjects. It will also allow you to develop the necessary research skills for postgraduate study and gain an understanding of the UK education system.

The Graduate Diploma is suitable for international students who need an introduction to the study of a subject in preparation to study it at postgraduate level, or to upgrade qualifications if you have studied a 3 year Diploma in a relevant subject. The Graduate Diploma is also ideal for those that would benefit from a period of English language study to enhance their language skills required for academic study or those that need to improve their language study skills within the context of their chosen subject.

Entry to all postgraduate degrees at Queen's University is highly competitive and students hoping to study at postgraduate level must maintain high standards throughout their Graduate Diploma programme. Whilst grades in the Graduate Diploma programme do not count towards your postgraduate degree, your performance will be used to determine whether you meet the criteria for entry to your chosen postgraduate degree programme at the University.
Assessment is both formal and informal, designed to help students build on their successes and meet requirements for entry to postgraduate study.

Pass in an undergraduate degree in any subject from a recognised institution.
Higher Education Diploma (3 - 5 years) with acceptable grades in any subject from a recognised institution.
You must have studied modules or courses in one of statistics, mathematics, finance, economics or calculus with good grades.
Applicants wishing to progress to the MSc International Business must have an undergraduate degree in Business or Management which is acceptable to Queen’s University Management School.
