Safety

INTO University of East Anglia is dedicated to making you feel totally safe and supported during your studies.

Within the INTO Centre there are residential tutors who provide 24-hour support. There is also a great deal of security provided on campus with regular patrols by campus staff.

Norfolk is the safest place in the country with the lowest crime rate in England (iQuanta rankings 2009)

Regional and City Safety

A recent survey found that East Anglia has the lowest crime rates in the country, and Norwich is one of the safest cities in the UK. Both the community and council are dedicated to keeping Norwich  safe and welcoming for students, and we're sure you'll feel relaxed and at home during your stay here.

 

Safety at the INTO Centre

Upon arrival all INTO University of East Anglia students are issued with an emergency telephone number which can be used to ask for assistance at any time of day or night. Within the INTO residences, there are residential tutors who are responsible for the pastoral care of students and provide an additional source of 24-hour support.

INTO reception is open Monday to Friday 8am to 7pm for all of your questions and to assist you with your arrival.

 

Safety on the University Campus 

A team of security officers provides a security presence on campus for the prevention and detection of crime. The Lodge is staffed 24 hours a day and security staff patrol both on foot and by vehicle.
