What will I study?

You will study the following language modules:

English language and
Communication Skills
This module will offer you the chance to develop your English language knowledge and skills. You will increase your knowledge of grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation along with skills of reading, writing, speaking and listening. This module will also provide you with essential skills for undertaking academic study in your chosen subject at a UK university.
Study Skills Essential preparation for postgraduate university life, study skills will help you to develop the necessary skills for university study. You will practise working effectively in groups, presenting ideas in a logical manner, managing your time, and taking lecture notes. You will also conduct research and practise writing essays or preparing a dissertation.

 

You will also study the following subject and research modules:

Human Resource Management The main purpose of this module is to develop your knowledge and skill in managing people. It will enable you to understand how to negotiate with as well as how to support and reward teams and individuals for whom you are responsible.
Finance Management You'll study the techniques used in managing the finance of a business and how to monitor and control business performance.
Operations Management The aim of this module is to develop knowledge of the role and contribution of operations management and production functions in business.
Marketing Management

You will learn how to analyse the marketing processes, investigate the purpose of marketing within a business context and apply marketing to practical situations.

Research: Business and Public Administration-based dissertations These modules will prepare you for assignment and dissertation writing. The dissertation itself brings together all the skills and knowledge you have gained in the taught programme.

*Applicants for the One-Planet MBA must have a minimum of three years' work experience and an IELTS score of 7.0

How do I qualify?

Academic requirements: Applicants are normally expected to have to have a first degree or equivalent.  We will consider a 3-5 year diploma with good grades. However, each application will be considered on its own merit. Applicants for the MBA require at least 3 years' work experience at managerial level in the private or public sector or related organisations.
English requirements:

IELTS 5.5 (with a minimum of 5.5 in all subskills) or equivalent.

Age:

17 years and above

All students commencing courses on a published September start date must be 17 years old by 31st December of that calendar year. For all other start dates, students must be 17 years old on the published start date of the course.


Applicants wishing to progress to the MBA/MPA must include a CV with their application so that their work experience can be assessed before they receive an offer for the Graduate Diploma.

Tuition fees do not include text books - an additional charge in the region of £160 per academic course

Tracking your progress

Assessment is both formal and informal, and designed to help students build on their successes and meet requirements for entry to postgraduate study. Marks do not count towards the Master's qualification, but help the University to assess your abilities in your chosen field of study.

How do I apply?

Apply online

You can apply online by filling out an application form. This application form is accessible through the green 'Apply now' button. You must include scanned versions of all important documents listed below. On receipt of your application we will make an assessment based on the requirements of the course. We aim to reply within 48 hours, although this is dependent on us receiving all the required information.

Applicants wishing to progress to the MBA/MPA must include a CV with their application so that their work experience can be assessed before they receive an offer for the Graduate Diploma.

Your application package must include:

  • Completed application form, signed by the student applicant or the legal guardian
  • Personal contact details
  • Next of kin details
  • Proposed further study programme
  • Copy(ies) of highest academic qualifications latest transcript/certificate original along with English translated version (all documents should be supported with an English version with school stamp or agent stamp)
  • Latest English language certificate/s

If your application is successful, you will receive:

  • Indication of fees that will be payable
  • Acceptance form
  • Copy of the terms and conditions
  • Insurance information and application form
  • 'Under 18 years old' information pack (if applicable)


To reserve your place at INTO University of Exeter you will need to return all application forms mentioned above with £1,000 tuition deposit and £3,000 accommodation deposit. Once received we will issue documents to support the UK student visa process. Full fees will need to be received at least 4 weeks prior to your course start date.
