As an INTO UEA London student, you will have access to a broad range of facilities at nearby City University during your studies. These include the City library – home to over 350,000 titles – and the Centre for Career and Skills development, which offers comprehensive help in planning your career. When you’re not studying, the City University Students’ Union and Saddler’s Sport Centre provide fantastic opportunities to wind down.
Facilities
The City University campus is based in the Angel Islington area, which has a vibrant coffee culture, two local cinemas, bookshops, outdoor markets and countless bars and restaurants. Not only is it one of the best locations for a night out, it also has excellent transport links with the West End and is within walking distance of many of the city’s most famous tourist attractions.
There are a broad range of City University facilities to enhance your studies. The City University Library provides a modern and well-equipped study environment with access to more than 350,000 volumes, a number of specialist collections, and an assortment of electronic learning resources to complement your course curriculum. There’s also the Centre for Career and Skills Development, which offers useful insights into the current labour market and strategies to help you achieve your career aims, and can also help you find volunteering opportunities and part-time or vacation employment during your studies.
If you need extra assistance with your course you can use of the Learning Support Service, which helps you improve skills in areas like essay writing, self study and research.
For things to do outside of study time, The City University Students’ Union has much to offer. A hub for student social life, it is home to more than 50 student clubs and societies catering to most tastes and interests, and provides a lively programme of events and entertainment in its new venue, Ten². The union’s Active8 programme also enables you to meet other students and get involved with activities like ice-skating, rock climbing and horse riding. If you enjoy keeping fit, Saddler’s Sport Centre provides an abundance of modern and well-equipped facilities accommodating most sporting tastes.
