Course length 6 – 18 months
Class hours During part 1: up to 20 lessons of English language per week comprising lectures, seminars, classes (maximum English language class size 16 students), tutorials and use of our virtual learning environment
During part 2: typically 16 or 8 lessons per week of English language tuition depending on the number and difficulty of the academic modules you select.
Academic entry requirement
Successful completion of at least one year of study at a university/college overseas. You should provide a statement of your previous university studies and a personal statement explaining which subject areas you would like to study during part 2 of the course.
In part 2, you choose from a wide range of academic modules at UEA.  These modules are delivered according to the University’s academic calendars. If you wish to study these modules, you must be available for the entire period, which may mean additional weeks of accommodation.
English language requirement The following indicates minimum English language entry requirements.

Tuition price

For courses commencing before September 2010:
£3,200 per term
For courses commencing after September 2010:
£3,500 per term

Tuition fees do not include: text books – an additional charge in the region of £130 per academic course

This extended period of English study in a campus environment can be customised for different levels of ability and specific academic interests. Successfully complete the course (and meet the required English and academic criteria) and you will be qualified to apply to a UK university. If you choose to study additional specialist undergraduate modules as part of the course, you will gain credits that can be put towards undergraduate programmes in your home country (subject to approval from your chosen university).
