Student Services at INTO OSU helps every international student feel welcomed, involved and connected. We provide support for students’ daily lives, plan many unique and exciting trips and offer numerous opportunities to meet and talk to native English speakers.

After you arrive at Oregon State University, our friendly International Student Advisor (ISA) team will be available to assist you with all immigration questions and processes. From changing your major to taking a term off, they are here to help you take all necessary steps to maintain good immigration status and make sure your I-20 is always current.

Immigration workshops are held throughout the year and individual appointments are available if you require any specific advice. For immigration and visa help, email isas.advisor@oregonstate.edu.

Housing & Arrivals Coordinator

Determining which accommodation option is right for you can be challenging. Before you arrive at INTO OSU, you can request to be in touch with a full-time Campus Housing and Arrivals Coordinator to assist you with your on-campus housing reservation, changes, requests and answer any questions you have about your housing options.

Language Advisors

At the INTO OSU center, our advisers speak a range of languages including Chinese, Japanese, Russian and Arabic, and are available to assist new and prospective students and parents who may not be able to communicate effectively in English.

Progression Advisor

The OSU Progression Adviser is available to assist Pathway students as you transition from INTO OSU to full OSU admission. From helping with paperwork to initiate the transition to ensuring students have completed their required courses, the Progression Adviser is ready to help you throughout the process.

Care & Conduct Coordinator

The Care and Conduct Coordinator can assist you with personal and academic concerns in and out of the classroom. Additionally, the Care and Conduct Coordinator can answer questions or concerns you may have and provide you with additional resources to help you be successful while you are studying at INTO OSU.

Academic Success Coordinator

During student's time at INTO OSU, the Academic Success Coordinator is available to assist Pathway students with study skills and time management. The primary role of the Academic Success Coordinator is to ensure the success of our students.

Pathway students have access to tutoring services through the INTO OSU Learning Center. Our Pathway Peer Tutors are Oregon State University students who work with Pathway students on English skills as well as subjects like math, science, engineering and business. These sessions are limited to two hours per week and are free to Pathway students.

Conversation Opportunities

There are many chances to meet Americans and practice English during your stay. English conversation programs and on-campus events help students feel like a part of the OSU and Corvallis community.

  • Academic tutors and supported Study Hall for Pathway students
  • Conversation partners for all INTO OSU students at Level 3 and above
  • Weekly English conversation clubs on special topics like music and art
  • International Students of OSU (ISOSU) Weekly Coffee Hour

Trips and Activities

We offer trips all over the state, the Northwest and the West Coast, to show INTO OSU students the beauty and excitement our part of the country has to offer.

  • Day trips and overnight break trips, including Seattle, San Francisco and Los Angeles
  • Free OSU sporting events, intramural sports, Dixon Recreation Center, trips to professional sporting events like NBA basketball, Seattle Mariners baseball and soccer
  • Free Welcome and Farewell Parties with bowling, pizza, Wii, and karaoke
  • Concerts and cultural events
  • OSU student clubs and organizations to join

Disability access services (DAS) can help students who have a documented disability with note taking, sign language interpretation, textbooks on tape and alternative testing. DAS also offers assistance with registration, housing arrangements and other special needs.
